Woburn Memorial had won four straight games and Mateo Qirjazi did his part to make it five on Wednesday. The Tanners walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Greater Lawrence Tech Reggies for which the team can thank Qirjazi, who had 43 assists and five kills. He has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more assists the last 17 times he's played.

Woburn Memorial was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (98-97), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 16-25, 25-21, 26-24.

Woburn Memorial's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Greater Lawrence Tech, they moved to 14-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woburn Memorial will face off against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greater Lawrence Tech, they will challenge Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
