The River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Stockton with a sharp 42-21 victory. The win was just what River Ridge/Scales Mound needed coming off of a 53-26 defeat in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, Stockton had strong showings from Madie Mammoser, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and three steals, and Taylor Haas, who scored no points along with five steals and two blocks. Mammoser has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.
River Ridge/Scales Mound is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Stockton, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Ridge/Scales Mound is on the road again on Monday and plays the Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. West Carroll is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home. As for Stockton, they will head out on the road to face off against the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Galena is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
