The Lake Shore Shorians will head out on the road to challenge the Warren Woods-Tower Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Shore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

The result came thanks to Sophia VanDenstorm's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Piper Lees was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendra Damm, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Warren Woods-Tower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Detroit Country Day.
Jackie Asmar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Adrianna Strunk was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Lake Shore's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Warren Woods-Tower, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Warren Woods-Tower's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Lake Shore has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Warren Woods-Tower, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Lake Shore keep running through batters, or will the Titans buck the trend?
Lake Shore came out on top in a nail-biter against Warren Woods-Tower when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 8-7.
