Basketball Recap: Fowler Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Fowler won the last time they faced Hoehne and things went their way on Friday too. The Fowler Grizzlies came out on top against the Hoehne Farmers by a score of 61-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.

Fowler had a senior duo take command as Cael True dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards and Isaiah Montoya went 8 of 15 en route to 26 points. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for Montoya. Another player making a difference was Joe Salvo, who posted seven points.

When it comes to explaining why Hoehne lost, don't look at Bobby Terry. Despite the final result, he scored nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. With that strong performance, Terry is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Marquez, who put up 11 points.

Fowler is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Hoehne, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Fowler wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-45 loss against Simla on the 25th. As for Hoehne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-37 win against Center on the 25th.
