After a string of four wins, the Scott Central Rebels's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Clarkdale. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarkdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cade Culpepper, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Ladonya Adams was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five steals.
Scott Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Clarkdale, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
Scott Central will head out on the road to take on Newton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Newton will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Clarkdale will take on Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
