After two games on the road, Scottsburg is heading back home. They will take on The Heritage Hills Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Scottsburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 38-31 victory over Salem. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Scottsburg's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Shuck, who rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Braden Morgan, who rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Meanwhile, Heritage Hills entered their tilt with Southridge with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Heritage Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against Southridge on Friday and snuck past 23-20.
Heritage Hills found their leader in underclassman Jett Goldsberry, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes.
Scottsburg's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-4. As for Heritage Hills, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
