On Wednesday Joe Salvo struck out ten batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than two walks. On the year, he has an ERA of 1.62 over 21.7 innings pitched.
