Basketball Recap: Lemoore's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lemoore has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost 58-36 to the Tulare Union The Tribe on Thursday. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Tigers struggled afterwards.

Despite the loss, Lemoore still got an impressive performance from Micah Fox, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Fox has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Jasean Gardner was another key player, going 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points.

It was another big night for Demaje Riley, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards for Tulare Union. What's more, Riley also racked up six steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brayden Stevenson, who posted 20 points and six steals.

Lemoore's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-7. As for Tulare Union, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.

Lemoore will head out to challenge Mission Oak at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Oak knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lemoore likes a good challenge. As for Tulare Union, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hanford at 7:15 p.m. Tulare Union is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.4 points per game this season.
