Softball Recap: Pewaukee Has No Trouble Against Greendale

Pewaukee's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Greendale Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Hailey Hutchens made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Hutchens was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Pewaukee let Harper Gould and Mya Bloedow run wild. Gould went 3-for-5 with three runs and one RBI, while Bloedow went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI Bloedow has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Tisdale, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Pewaukee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greendale only posted a batting average of .261.

Pewaukee's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Greendale, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pewaukee will host Divine Savior Holy Angels at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Greendale, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Indian Trail at 4:30 p.m.
