The Odessa Ducks will be playing at home against the St. Georges Tech Hawks at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Odessa has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 637 points over their last nine contests.
Odessa put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 77-40 victory over Christiana at home. Given Odessa's advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Christiana is ranked 39th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Georges Tech posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Christiana 74-39 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-19.
St. Georges Tech can attribute much of their success to Kionne Lang, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Emory Womack, who scored ten points along with five assists and five steals. Lang continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blair Thomas, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Odessa's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points per game. As for St. Georges Tech, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
