Even though the Poudre Impalas scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Prairie View Thunderhawks still came out on top. Prairie View took their matchup against Poudre 66-55. The win made it back-to-back wins for Prairie View.
It was another big night for Javon Brewton, who scored 27 points along with five assists and three steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Prairie View's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Holman, who scored 13 points.
Prairie View's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Poudre, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Prairie View will square off against Rocky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poudre, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Loveland at 6:30 p.m. Loveland is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
