Owings Mills is 0-4 against the Wildcats since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Owings Mills Golden Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Carver A&T Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Owings Mills is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses.
Last Wednesday, Owings Mills took a serious blow against the Bulls, falling 55-7. Owings Mills has not had much luck with the Bulls recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Carver A&T came up short against the Wolverines on Friday and fell 58-50. Carver A&T has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Elisah Guity, who scored 18 points along with two steals. That was a full 36% of Carver A&T's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada McAliley, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Owings Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Carver A&T, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Owings Mills was dealt a bruising 59-16 loss at the hands of the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Owings Mills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
