The First Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Crooms Academy and snuck past 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jayden Aristile and D'Elio Cestero certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Aristile scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Cestero scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Julian Gill was another key contributor, scoring four points.
First Baptist Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Crooms Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
First Baptist Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Warner Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Crooms Academy, they will be playing at home against Orlando Science at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Orlando Science is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
