Volleyball Recap: Brush Has No Trouble Against Highland

Brush won the last time they faced Highland and things went their way on Saturday too. The Beetdiggers put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 3-0 win.

Brush was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-15.

Olivia Mertens paced Brush's offense, picking up eight kills. Mertens really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine. Hannah Hansen controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Brush's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Highland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Brush will challenge Sterling at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland, they will square off against Front Range Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
