Hayden had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Appalachian Eagles with a sharp 10-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Hayden let Jordan Plan and Payton Hill run wild. Plan went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Hill went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Hill has posted since back in February. Kinslie Ireland was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Hayden now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Appalachian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayden will venture away from home to face off against Cordova at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Appalachian, they will square off against Ashville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
