The Benton Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Lakeside as Benton made off with a 61-37 win. Benton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.
Lakeside's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckenzie Williams, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Williams pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amelia Rogers, who scored 11 points.
The victory was the fifth in a row for Benton, bringing their record for this year to 10-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
Benton will look to defend their home court on Friday against El Dorado at 5:00 p.m. As for Lakeside, they will head out on the road to challenge White Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
