Churchill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Garden City Cougars. Considering the Chargers have won 13 matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Churchill pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Garden City, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-9.

Churchill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garden City, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-8 victory against Glenn on the 30th.
