After flying high against the Portville Panthers last Thursday, the Falconer Golden Falcons came back down to earth. Falconer fell just short of Frewsburg by a score of 67-64. Falconer has struggled against Frewsburg recently, as their game on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Gavin Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Frewsburg, scoring 33 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Frewsburg's points. Kael Collver was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and six blocks.
Falconer's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 2-2. As for Frewsburg, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Falconer will challenge Cassadaga Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frewsburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Portville at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
