American History's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shamiyah Mubarak, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominique Jackson, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds.
American History's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Payne Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
