Despite the loss, Macon County saw an underclassman step up: Morgan Cochran dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Cochran has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more points the last four times she's played.
Macon County's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Sumter County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.

The timing isn't great for Berrien: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Panthers have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
