Myriah Torregrosa was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Makylie Taylor, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Titusville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .846. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palm Bay only posted an OBP of .435.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Astronaut's offense. They lost 15-0 to Deltona on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the War Eagles have suffered since May 8, 2024.
The victory made it two in a row for Titusville and bumps their season record up to 5-14. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for Astronaut, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.
Astronaut's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Titusville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. It's a different story for Astronaut, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Titusville's hitters?
