The Goldsboro Cougars put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 65-32 victory over Spring Creek on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-14.
Des'Myah Croom continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aziyah Boyer, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Goldsboro pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Spring Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goldsboro will take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Wayne is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Spring Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bruins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beddingfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Gators in North Carolina (the Bruins are ranked 115th, while the Gators are ranked 427th).
