The Satellite Scorpions had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Bayside with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 59-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Satellite also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Satellite's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zander Tantius led the charge by scoring 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Otero, who scored 17 points.
Satellite's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Bayside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Satellite will take on Sebastian River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bayside, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Astronaut at 7:30 p.m.
