The Kemmerer Rangers fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Shoshoni Wranglers on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wranglers by a score of 16-14. Kemmerer's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Kemmerer bumped their record down to 3-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.3 points per game. As for Shoshoni, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Kemmerer won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rocky Mountain at 10:30 a.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Rocky Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. Shoshoni and Meeteetse will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Meeteetse is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
