The Bristow Pirates entered their tilt with the McLoud Redskins with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Bristow walked away with a 61-49 win over McLoud on Saturday.
Bristow's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addi Alexander, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Alexander has scored at least 25% of Bristow's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalyn Edmondson, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Bristow's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for McLoud, they bumped their record down to 7-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Bristow and Perkins-Tryon will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Perkins-Tryon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 370th, while Bristow is ranked 119th). McLoud and Mount St. Mary will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
