Southeast Yosemite recap Oct. 30, 2012
Tehachapi extended the longest winning streak in Southeast Yosemite this week by beating Foothill, 49-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Garces took down East Bakersfield 55-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Rams' Cruise Adams and Angus Bellue have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Adams has thrown for 1713 yards this season, while Bellue, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 27 catches for 665 yards. Brandon Fanning from the Trojans leads the league in rushing with 1249 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Tehachapi takes on second place Garces. Last week, Tehachapi defeated Foothill, while Garces beat the Blades.
There should be lots of points scored when Steve Denman's team and Jim Maples' team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Warriors comes in having scored 308 this season, while the Rams have scored 357. Tehachapi scored 49 points last week as it beat Mike Gregg's team.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Warriors take on Garces. Tehachapi has allowed 178 points this season, while the Rams have given up 122. The Warriors allowed 14 points last week as they bested the Trojans.
Garces led Southeast Yosemite in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on East Bakersfield.
