Keystone has gone a perfect 10-0 against Oberlin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Keystone has ten straight wins, Oberlin has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, Keystone beat Firelands 8-3.
Brooklyn Modock made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Modock was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs.

In other batting news, Jordan Owca was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Bristol Foster was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Keystone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Oberlin came up short against Firelands on Tuesday, falling 20-3.
Oberlin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Selena Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Keystone pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Oberlin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1.
Oberlin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Keystone has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Oberlin, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Keystone's sizable advantage in that area, the Phoenix will need to find a way to close that gap.
Keystone took their victory against Oberlin in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 18-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
