They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 47-45. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy still got an impressive performance from Luke Morgan, who scored 17 points. Will Ryken was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Desert Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Brown, who scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Desert Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Dobbins, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Desert Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Horizon Honors at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Desert Christian, they will face off against Phoenix Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Phoenix Country Day is ranked 36th, while Desert Christian is ranked 26th).
