The Northern Durham Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 64-40 defeat at the hands of East Chapel Hill. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Northern Durham of the 59-18 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Northern Durham lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Lynch, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Lynch scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Victoria Holden, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Abigail Stone continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for East Chapel Hill, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Stone hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Steiner, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Durham will stay at home for another game and welcome Halifax County at 6:30 p.m. on February 5th. As for East Chapel Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jordan at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully East Chapel Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
