Land O' Lakes has gone 9-1 against Sunlake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Gators will face off against the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. Land O' Lakes will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Land O' Lakes not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Central.
Land O' Lakes got a great performance from Zachary Kelly as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Kelly has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trey Page, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Ethan Barclay was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Sunlake unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of IMG Academy Silver by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Seahawks have suffered since March 6th.
Dominic Italiano was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Lucas Zarlenga was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Sunlake's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 7-8 when he doesn't).
Land O' Lakes pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sunlake, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Land O' Lakes skirted past Sunlake 1-0 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
