Shikellamy is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host the Danville Ironmen at 4:30 p.m. Shikellamy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.
Shikellamy took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past Midd-West 11-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Braves considering their two-run performance the game before.
Peyton Chamberlain tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

The dominant performance also gave Wiest a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Ella Oakes, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Shikellamy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .490. However, it's not like Danville struggles in that department as they've averaged .505. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Shikellamy took their win against Danville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-14. Will Shikellamy repeat their success, or does Danville has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
