Ashley is 0-8 against St. Charles since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ashley Bears will head out on the road to challenge the St. Charles Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Ashley and five for St. Charles.
Last Friday, Ashley came up short against Carson City-Crystal and fell 44-33.
Meanwhile, St. Charles took a serious blow against Fulton on Thursday, falling 65-37. While losing is never fun, St. Charles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 676th, while Fulton is ranked 320th).
Ashley dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.5 points per game. As for St. Charles, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.
Ashley came up short against St. Charles in their previous matchup back in January, falling 41-31. Can Ashley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
