The Moundridge Wildcats stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 61-23 victory over Goessel on the road. Given Moundridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Bluebirds are ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bear Moddelmog continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Henry Hecox, who scored 13 points.
Moundridge's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.2 points. As for Goessel, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moundridge will square off against the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ell-Saline is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. As for Goessel, they will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
