Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 70-41 blowout they got at home against Jones County. The score was close at the half, but Wall pulled away in the second half with 43 points.
It was another big night for Paige Kjerstad, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. Nora Dinger was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Wall pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.82 points. As for Jones County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wall won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bennett County at 2:00 p.m. on January 6th. Jones County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Colome at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th.
