Osceola is a perfect 10-0 against Pinellas Park since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will welcome the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Osceola barely beat Northeast the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Ava Inman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mia Maurer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Cassidy Allen, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Osceola hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northeast struck out six times.
Meanwhile, Pinellas Park beat Clearwater Central Catholic 11-7 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Ayanah Wilson made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Wilson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Danielle Overman was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played.
Pinellas Park's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Osceola, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Osceola hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like Pinellas Park struggles in that department as they've averaged .325. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Osceola's way against Pinellas Park when the teams last played back in February of 2025, as Osceola made off with a 16-1 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
