If Kelseyville was feeling good fresh off their 11-2 takedown of Upper Lake on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell just short of the Clear Lake Cardinals by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Kyle Watkins was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Reme Strong, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Kelseyville's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 16-4. As for Clear Lake, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Kelseyville will welcome Cloverdale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
