Basketball Recap: South Lenoir Has No Trouble Against Clinton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Lenoir). They came out on top against the Clinton Dark Horses by a score of 61-50 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Blue Devils with their most commanding win of the season.

Clinton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Bass, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Bass has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Amir Wright, who posted 12 points.

South Lenoir's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Clinton, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

South Lenoir will take on Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against James Kenan at 8:00 p.m.
