The Barker Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Medina Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Wednesday, Barker took a serious blow against Newfane, falling 74-45. While losing is never fun, Barker can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 605th, while Newfane is ranked 156th).
Medina can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 64-55 win over Albion. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Medina found their leader in underclassman Jerrell Nealy, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Nealy has scored at least a third of Medina's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Pitts, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Barker's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Medina, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Barker strolled past Medina in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 62-48. Does Barker have another victory up their sleeve, or will Medina turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
