The Rolesville Rams had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past Heritage 38-14. The result was nothing new for Rolesville, who have now won eight matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Devon Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 242 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also picking up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Thomas' longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. Jaedon Alford also helped out with an impressive 102 receiving yards.
Heritage's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brandon Crutchfield, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Tavares Carter, who picked up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Rolesville's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Rolesville will be playing at home against Purnell Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Purnell Swett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Rolesville is ranked eighth). As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to face off against Millbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millbrook has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 138 points over their last three matches.
