Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Thursday, Appling Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 75-26 loss at the hands of the Saints. Appling Christian Academy has struggled against the Saints recently, as their contest on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Appling Christian Academy had strong showings from Xzayvier Anderson, who scored 11 points along with four steals, and Drake, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Drake hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 11 straight games.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-39, which was the final score in Peoples Baptist Academy's tilt against the Eagles on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Peoples Baptist Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Eagles are ranked 245th).
Appling Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10. As for Peoples Baptist Academy, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.
