They had to suffer through a rough 64-14 loss at the hands of Boynton Beach. While losing is never fun, Pahokee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 596th, while Boynton Beach is ranked 182nd).
Boynton Beach's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rebeca Jean led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Jean 's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delylah Gainza, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
