Willows scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loyalton Grizzlies. The defeat leaves the Honkers without a win on the season.

Leading Loyalton to victory were Ace Armstrong and Gus Petterson. Armstrong posted 19 points, while Petterson put up 19 points. That's the most points Armstrong has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Ryland Martinetti, who earned seven points.

Willows' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Loyalton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Willows wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-41 win against Burney on the 7th. As for Loyalton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-35 defeat against Fall River on the 7th.
