Basketball Recap: Beloit Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Beloit entered their tilt with Republic County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Buffaloes with points to spare, taking the game 54-40. The Trojans pushed the score to 47-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Buffaloes cut but never quite recovered from.

Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Martin, who went 5-for-10 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 40% of Republic County's points, marking the third time in a row Martin has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Greyson Novak, who scored nine points and eight boards.

Beloit's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Republic County, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2.

Beloit wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-38 victory against Ellsworth on the 19th. As for Republic County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 45-38 win against Minneapolis on the 19th.
