The York/Pavilion had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over Geneseo/Mount Morris on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as York/Pavilion just coasted through the last quarter.
York/Pavilion's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carl Szczech, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Joe Bauer also helped out with an impressive 136 receiving yards.
York/Pavilion's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-6 Geneseo/Mount Morris and 2-5 Notre Dame (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 34.5% over those games). As for Geneseo/Mount Morris, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
