The Dawson Eagles were the 52-38 winner over the Alief Elsik Rams when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Dawson fell to Alief Elsik 34-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dawson has scored all season.
Alief Elsik got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Uwalaka out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Ricky Wilson, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Dawson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-9. As for Alief Elsik, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-17.
Dawson will head out on the road to square off against Alvin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dawson is facing Alvin at the right time seeing as Alvin is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Alief Elsik, they will be playing at home against Alief Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alief Taylor is coming into the matchup with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Alief Elsik will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
