Copley and Wooster are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Copley Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Wooster Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Copley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Wooster likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Copley didn't have too much trouble with Aurora on the road as they won 63-48. 63 seems to be a good number for Copley as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Wooster came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Madison Comprehensive 44-41. The victory was just what Wooster needed coming off of a 68-42 loss in their prior match.
Among those leading the charge was Anthony Carmean, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aidan Holford, who scored two points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Copley's record now sits at 8-12. Wooster's record now sits at 7-12.
Copley and Wooster were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but Copley came up empty-handed after a 62-61 defeat. Can Copley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
