Joseph Mesa turned in nothing short of a gem on Friday, throwing for 290 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. As if that's not impressive enough, the contest was his fourth in a row with four or more passing touchdowns. On the season, he has thrown 35 touchdowns (and and only 6 pick) while averaging 264.2 passing yards per game.

Coming up, Mesa and Paraclete will venture away from home to face off against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spirits had to take a loss when they last met the Swordsmen, but Mesa had little to do with the loss: he threw for 384 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards.
