South Winneshiek were the clear victor by a 38-16 margin over Nashua-Plainfield. Followers of South Winneshiek probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Meanwhile, if St. Ansgar were riding high off their 51-0 takedown of Nashua-Plainfield, that ride came to an abrupt end. St. Ansgar took a hard 12-27 fall against Hudson. St. Ansgar's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
South Winneshiek's victory lifted them to 4-2 while St. Ansgar's defeat dropped them down to 4-2. We'll find out if South Winneshiek can add another positive mark to their record or if St. Ansgar can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of South Winneshiek's step.
