The Broadwater Bulldogs fell victim to the Jefferson Panthers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Panthers, falling 35-0. Broadwater was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jefferson apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Jefferson had a senior duo take command as Jack Johnson rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns and Luke Strizich rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Broadwater has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Jefferson, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Broadwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jefferson will challenge Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
