Perkins entered their tilt with Clay on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 4-2. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Perkins' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Perkins will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Francis de Sales at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
